Classroom Expectations
Welcome to my classroom expectation philosophy! in this class both student and teacher will have the opportunity to make decisions fairly and realistic. I will encourage independence and responsibility. Students will practice communication skills and teamwork. If you are familiar with the philosopher Barbara Coloroso, then you will be aware that I will let my students make the right decisions and let them learn from their mistakes to be successful. Being able to give my students a voice, is to help them feel belong and make them feel that the environment is also theirs, as Linda Albert mentioned in her philosophy. It is very important for students to feel welcome and feel safe to say anything they believe or think without any judgement from others, so I as the teacher will make sure that we are all treated with respect as it connects and its required by the Illinois social/emotional standards.
Parents you are also welcome to stop by and have a glimpse of how our daily class goes, as far as any future activities schedule, I will inform you in a timely matter. Parents are also able to communicate with me through this site for any other questions. Here are my class rules that all students must follow for the entire school year..
