REWARDS

The classroom reward system will consist of various verbal and non-verbal acknowledgements and will be discussed with the class for final decisions. I will implement positive reinforcement and look for other methods to work with the students struggling, in order to fulfill the Illinois social/emotional standards requirements.

Parents will also be able to view and get notice of current rewards and positive reinforcement that his or her student attains. Students will then decide at the beginning of each semester what they believe the rewards should be by categories. Students will also have a paper copy of the final decisions for the reward system. As a digital copy will be provided in this section after the class decides what it will be.

CONSEQUENCES

Students who do not follow the classroom rules, will be discipline in an appropriate procedure. Students will have a few individual reminders, after class detention or lunch detention, following that the problem is unsolved, then it will be a Dean contact and parent contact issue. If student can take full responsibility, then I the teacher will make a plan for the student to follow in order to make a positive behavior progress.
