Diversity in my classroom

As I begin my educational career, I have experienced working in several schools that have diversity and have different types of students with different ethnicities in their background. Some aspects that can affect my classroom, could be not being knowledgeable of other cultures, not caring, or seeing one individual as a group (stereotyping), and not understanding children. Other factors can be because I am of a Hispanic origin, and I come from another culture. As I consider my culture, I have learned many ways to work with students of diverse and cultural backgrounds. Plus, I have learned how to understand them, how to help them, how to support them academically, and how to help the students connect to the school and teachers.  I believe that children can learn better and push themselves more, when they are other children with different cultures/backgrounds surrounding them. I will promote and transfer to my students: understanding with each other, incorporate different learning styles for their advantage, everyone should be equal, celebrate each students culture, and include diverse learning.
