Instructional Styles and Strategies
My beliefs why teaching and learning are important is because as a child, I personally did not get enough resources or different styles of learning to help me academically. I will encourage active learning, being able to related academic learning to their daily lives, and I will incorporate different teaching styles to accommodate any type of student. For example, working in centers, direct instruction, videos/technology, along with other support systems for my students. I will be using plenty of formative assessments in which are tools that I can give feedback to my students and guide my instruction, but will not be graded.

The three teaching models I will employ in order for my students and parents to understand will be to have my students engage during class time and academically. Social, being able to communicate with one another in order to solve problems and interact with each other. Lastly, co-teaching between other teachers to help make a better plan and give the students more resources and information to understand the academic material. By having a combination of all of these can help students learn and understand in a positive way. In addition, I will be teaching, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Advance Algebra to my assigned grades and will be ready to execute a well prepared lesson.

A three formative assessments techniques will be use in my classroom daily. Thumbs up and down- will be assessedin the middle of any lesson to analyze the feedback from students if I should keep going or re teach it. Observation- is a key element when students are working in groups or independently, it will be give me a feeback on how much they mastered the content and students will be able to give their feedback with each other. Reflection- students will have sometime at the end of the class to write about their insights on the material learned giving me the opportunity to read them and evaluate my lesson plan and change or modify the material.
